The leading weekly trade paper for the music industry. The biggest challenge of the Music Week redesign was the charts section - 8 pages of detailed charts information covering not just singles and album sales but individual charts for the gamut of musical genres as well as airplay and new release sections.
In collaboration with August partner Nick Barley and MW editor Ajax Scott, the paper was reorganised, transferring the charts from the centre section to the back - a more natural place in the flow of pages. This allowed a distinct feature well and better paced news section. Champfered corners on panels and flags added a dynamic accent to the navigation system and a tight palette of colours conveyed added authority.
